Kantorei Choral Society is the fundraising body for Mount Royal Kantorei, the flagship chorus of Mount Royal Conservatory. We strive for social impact through powerful performances, thought-provoking music videos and collaborations that educate and inspire.
Our mixed-voice choir of 90 auditioned vocalists brings classical and contemporary choral music to the masses in Calgary and beyond. Through music, we have raised awareness of mental health, women’s cancers, climate change and social justice issues. We have established Western Canada’s premier choral festival, bringing choristers from around the world to Calgary and creating economic impact for the city and the province. We are committed to making choral music accessible to all through free community performances, fair ticket pricing and outreach education.
