IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Kantorei friends, family, patrons and supporters,

It is with a heavy heart that we must cancel April 6th's performance "Celtic Connection" due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.  We have all been mindful of the need to isolate and have not had a rehearsal together since our March 9th dress rehearsal. As many of you may be aware, we were slated to take part in the Cork International Choral Festival's Fleischmann International Trophy Competition from April 27th - May 4th. The festival has now been cancelled. Fortunately, we have been automatically approved to participate in next year's festival.

The music will live on! We are busy planning an exciting 2020/2021 season – our 25th season. We will be experimenting with running small sectional rehearsals this April and May by video conference. We also have a Virtual Choir project in the works whereby every choir member submits a video and we stitch it all together to create a really unique choral experience. Please follow us on our Facebook and Instagram pages for more updates in the coming months.

Thank you so much for your continued support of the arts in our community.  A special thanks to the Calgary Fiddlers and Blakey O'Brien Irish Dance for being willing to perform with us, we shall do it again soon! We are ever so grateful to be a part of the vibrant performing arts community in Calgary.

Sincerely,

John Morgan, Artistic Director

Mount Royal Kantorei and

The Kantorei Choral Society Board of Directors
